Shri Mata Mansa Devi Mandir, Panchkula

Bilaspur village, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula (on the edge of Chandigarh) · Goddess Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti, worshipped as three stone pindis

The tri-city's great goddess temple: an 1815 shrine in the Shivalik foothills, run by a state shrine board, with lakhs of devotees at its twice-yearly Navratri fairs.

Mata Mansa Devi is the most important temple of the Chandigarh–Panchkula–Mohali area. Set on 100 acres of the Shivalik foothills at Bilaspur village, the complex has three temples: the main Mansa Devi temple built by Raja Gopal Singh of Manimajra in 1811–1815, the Patiala temple built by Maharaja Karam Singh of Patiala in 1840, and smaller shrines. Since 1991 it has been run by a state shrine board that also manages the Chandi Mandir (after which Chandigarh is named) and Kali Mata Mandir at Kalka. The Chaitra and Ashwin Navratri melas draw lakhs of devotees.
