Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board
Statutory board · Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula
The Haryana government took over the Mansa Devi shrine in 1991 after decades of neglect following the end of royal patronage. The main temple was built in 1811–1815 by Maharaja Gopal Singh of Manimajra, and the nearby Patiala Shivalaya by the Maharaja of Patiala in 1840. The Board also runs the Chandi Mandir (after which Chandigarh is named) and the Kali Mata Mandir at Kalka. It organises the twice-yearly Navratra melas, community kitchens and online chola and havan bookings.
How it is run
The Chief Minister of Haryana chairs the Shrine Board.
