Rama and his three brothers in one day
Four temples in Thrissur and Ernakulam districts of Kerala dedicated to Rama and his brothers Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna.
Visiting all four in a single day during Karkidakam (mid-July to mid-August), the month in which Kerala households read the Ramayana, is believed to bring great merit. Devotees go in the order of the brothers' birth – Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, Shatrughna.
