Yadagirigutta Devasthanam Board (Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam)

Statutory board · Yadagirigutta, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana

Yadagirigutta's Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, east of Hyderabad, was rebuilt in black granite between 2016 and 2022 by the Yadadri Temple Development Authority (YTDA), set up in 2015 under the Chief Minister. In March 2025 the Telangana Assembly amended the Endowments Act to give the temple its own autonomous, TTD-style Yadagirigutta Devasthanam Board, and the government reverted the town's name from 'Yadadri' to Yadagirigutta. The first board was constituted in June 2026. Pilgrims deal with the Devasthanam directly for darshan, sevas and cottages.

How it is run

An 18-member board (7 ex-officio) appointed by the Telangana government for two years, on the TTD model; an IAS officer serves as Executive Officer and the budget stays under government control. The government named M. Satyanarayana Reddy chairman by orders of 30 June 2026; appointments were under challenge in the Telangana High Court (Aug 2026).
