Mahavir Mandir

Near Patna Junction railway station, Patna · Lord Hanuman (Sankat Mochan) – twin images

Bihar's best-loved Hanuman temple, famous for its Naivedyam laddu and a trust that runs cancer and other hospitals.

Mahavir Mandir, beside Patna Junction, is one of north India's most visited Hanuman temples. It houses twin images of Hanuman, a Naivedyam laddu made to a south Indian recipe by artisans from Tirupati and elsewhere, and is run by a trust whose income funds the Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, other hospitals and the Ram Rasoi free kitchen in Ayodhya.
