Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple

Chintpurni, Amb tehsil, Una district (about 3 km from Bharwain) · Goddess Chintpurni, the Chhinnamastika (Chhinnamasta) form of Durga, worshipped as a pindi (stone)

The goddess 'who ends worries' – a hilltop Shakti Peetha in Una, run by a government temple trust, and a fixture of the Nau Devi yatra.

Chintpurni is one of Himachal Pradesh's most visited Devi temples, on a ridge in Una district near the Kangra border, at about 980 m. The goddess is Chhinnamastika (Chhinnamasta), the self-decapitated form of Durga, and she is known as Chintpurni because she is believed to remove the worries (chinta) of her devotees. It is counted among the Shakti Peethas. The temple has been run by a government trust since 1987, and the trust offers a paid Sugam Darshan pass, havan and langar bookings and prasad by post.
